Application for business funding.

The Spirit of Enterprise Loan Fund is for people who have a physical or mental disability and for people from disadvantaged communities, who are substantially disadvantaged in realising their business potential. Any person who is seeking to establish or develop a business and has a form of disability or had a long term illness, or is from a disadvantaged community, and resides within the North East Region may be eligible for this support.

Loans are available from £1,000 to £5,000 and are normally for a maximum period of 3 years and by exception this might be increased to 5 years. Funds are provided unsecured and are available for revenue and capital expenditure. They are to help a business to develop by for instance, buying stock or equipment, or producing new promotional and marketing literature, or funding other working capital.

Interest on the loan will be charged at the rate of 8.7% per annum. Repayment of the loan will be made by Direct Debit.
