Business funding.
The Spirit of Enterprise Loan Fund and access to finance programme is for people who have a physical or mental disability and for people from disadvantaged communities, who are substantially disadvantaged in realising their business potential. Any person who is seeking to establish or develop a business, who resides within the North east Region and has a form of disability, has had a long term illness, is from a disadvantaged community, has a learning difficulty, is a veteran, is on benefits, is homeless, is an offender or ex offender, is a young person with emotional / behavioral challenges, may be eligible for this support.
Loans are available from £1,000 to £5,000 and are normally for a maximum period of 3 years. Funds are provided unsecured and are available for revenue and capital expenditure. They are to help a business to develop by buying stock or equipment, or producing new promotional and marketing literature, or fund other working capital.
Low interest rates are charged and the loan is repayable by direct debit.
